Baggage
Weight, measurements and terms
Maximum weight for checked in baggage is 20 kg/person. If you are travelling on Skyways Destination Card or Skyways Special Company Tickets you may check in 30 kg/person.
The cost for excess baggage within Sweden is 50 SEK/DKK per excess kilo including VAT. The cost for excess baggage within Europe is 80 SEK/DKK or 8 EUR per excess kilo. All excess baggage is on standby and is only accepted if space is available.
Please notice that we cannot handle baggage where the weight exceed 50 kg/bag.

If you have your whole journey on the same ticket and it is booked as a through-fare the baggage can be checked in all the way to your final destination. If the tickets are bought separately your baggage has to be picked up by the passenger between the flights and checked in again.
Hand luggage
Maximum weight for hand baggage is 5 kg/person and the maximum measurements are 45x35x20 cm.
The European Union has adopted a regulation restricting the liquids that passengers can carry in their hand luggage past screening points and then onto aircraft. Checked in baggage are not affected by the restrictions.
You may take the following items onboard in your hand luggage:
- Liquids and wax or gelatinous substances in containers of up to 100 ml.
- The containers shall fit comfortably in one transparent, resealable plastic bag that doesn’t exceed 1 litre.
- The bag must be completely closed
- Liquids include gels, pastes, lotions, liquid/solid mixtures and the content of pressurised containers, e.g. toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, perfume, shaving foam, aerosols and other items of similar consistency.
You may also bring:
- Liquids for medical purposes
- Special dietary requirements, including baby food.

Bicycle
You can bring a bicycle and check it in with an extra charge of 200 SEK/flight. Due to limited space, bicycles are always on standby and are only accepted if space is available. Before checking in your bicycle, please turn the handlebar and remove pedals.
Dangerous gods
Due to security reasons, the below items can never be brought on board or can not be checked in:
- Explosive substances, including detonators, fuses, grenades and mines
- Inflammable gases, such as camping gas canisters and refill cartridges for gas-powered curling tongs
- Inflammable liquids, including petrol, methylated spirits, paint and paint thinner
- Inflammable solid materials and reactive substances, including magnesium, firelighters, fireworks and distress flares
- Oxidising substances and organic peroxides, including bleach
- Repair sets for car bodies
- Toxic or infectious agents
- Radioactive materials
- Caustic agents, including mercury, car batteries and acid batteries
- Magnetic materials.
A limited amount of medicines and toiletries (such as hairspray and medicine), which are necessary to full fill the needs of the passenger during the trip, may be taken on board.
Please observe: Toy guns or water guns (plastic or metal), catapults, cutleries, razor blades (both with open blades or a safety razors), tools that may be used as weapons, dart arrows, scissors, injection needles (if not for medical reasons), knitting needles, big bats, sticks, billiard cues and other sharp objects or weapons is not allowed on board the cabin of the aircraft.

Please observer that this list is not complete. The security staff at the airport has the right to deny items on board the aircraft that, in their judgement, compromises the safety on board.
Firearms and ammunition
Firearms and ammunition can be checked in with an extra charge of 200 SEK/flight. Firearms and ammunition are carried as checked baggage only. They must be suitable packed and the ammunition removed. The firearm must be divided into two pieces. The bolt may not be carried in the same bag as the firearm. The ammunition, with the maximum allowed weight of 5 kg is carried as checked baggage and should be kept in it’s original box.
Golf equipment
One set of golf equipment/person (one golf bag, clubs, and one pair of golf shoes) can be checked in with an extra charge of 200 SEK/flight. If you only check in one set of golf equipment the allowed maximum weight is 15 kg. Due to limited space, golf equipment are always on standby and are only accepted if space is available. Ski equipment
One pair of skis, ski poles and boots can be checked in with an extra charge of 200 SEK/flight. Skyways accept all kind of skis except long jump skis. We do not except ski equipment on destinations operated by Jetstream.
Strollers
If you are travelling with a baby or small child one stroller can be brought and checked in with no extra charge.
Wheelchair
One collapsible wheelchair, which the passenger is dependant on, can be checked in with no extra charge.
Assistance to and from aircraft is available. Please notice that we cannot handle wheelchairs where the weight exceed 50 kg. If you do need assistance please contact Skyways Reservations on +46 771 95 95 00.
