Weights, measurements and terms

You may carry on one (1) piece of baggage free of charge. If you have booked a Skyways Economy or Click ticket flight then maximum weight for checked in baggage is 23 kg/person. If you have booked Skyways Flex, Business class or if you have a corporate product you are allowed to check in 2 x 32 kg / person. 8 kg hand luggage, 45x35x20 cm. For your infant, you can carry on one piece max 10 kg free of charge.

Max 1 piece extra per person apart from special luggage. Please note that we are unable to handle baggage where the weight exceeds 32 kg/bag. If you have any bulky baggage, please contact Skyways Reservations on +46 771 95 95 00.

If you have your whole journey on the same ticket and it is booked as a through-fare the baggage can be checked in all the way to your final destination. If the tickets are bought separately the baggage has to be picked up by the passenger between flights and checked in again for the next leg of the journey.

Hand luggage

The maximum weight for hand baggage is 8 kg/person and the maximum dimensions are 45x35x20 cm.

The European Union has adopted a regulation restricting the types of liquids that passengers can carry in their hand luggage past screening points and then onto aircraft. Checked in baggage is not affected by the restrictions. You may take the following items on board in your hand luggage:* liquids and wax or gelatinous substances in containers of up to 100 ml.* All containers must fit comfortably in one transparent, re-sealable plastic bag that does not exceed 1 litre.* The bag must be completely closed.* Liquids include gels, pastes, lotions, liquid/solid mixtures and the content of pressurised containers, e.g. toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, perfume, shaving foam, aerosols and other items of similar consistency. You may also bring:* liquids for medical purposes* and for special dietary requirements, including baby food. Read more about the restrictions at www.transportstyrelsen.se. Bicycles - You may bring a bicycle and check it in for an additional charge of 200 SEK/flight. Due to limited space, bicycles are always on standby and are only accepted if space is available. Before checking in your bicycle, please align the handlebars with the frame and remove the pedals.

Dangerous goods

For security reasons, the items listed below may never be brought on board or checked in:

- Explosive substances, including detonators, fuses, grenades and mines

- Inflammable gases, such as camping gas canisters and refill cartridges for gas-powered curling tongs - Inflammable liquids, including petrol, methylated spirits, paint and paint thinner

- Inflammable solid materials and reactive substances, including magnesium, firelighters, fireworks and distress flares

- Oxidising substances and organic peroxides, including bleach

- Repair sets for car bodies

- Toxic or infectious agents

- Radioactive materials

- Caustic agents, including mercury, car batteries and acid batteries

- Magnetic materials. A limited amount of medicines and toiletries (such as hairspray and medicine), which are necessary to fulfil the needs of the passenger during the trip, may be taken on board.

Please note: toy guns or water guns (plastic or metal), catapults, cutlery, razor blades (both open bladed or safety razors), tools that may be used as weapons, darts, scissors, hypodermic needles (if not for medical reasons), knitting needles, large bats, sticks, billiard cues and other sharp objects or weapons are not allowed within the cabin of the aircraft.

Please note that this is not a comprehensive list. The security staff at the airport have the right to refuse access to the aircraft to any items, which could, in their judgement, compromise the safety of passengers on board.

Firearms and ammunition

Firearms and ammunition may be checked in for a surcharge of 200 SEK, 25 EUR/domestic flight and 300 SEK, 35 EUR/international flight. Firearms and ammunition are carried as checked baggage only. They must be suitably packaged and all ammunition must be removed from firearms. The firearm must be broken down into at least two pieces. The bolt may not be carried in the same bag as the firearm. The ammunition, with the maximum allowed weight of 5 kg, shall be carried as checked baggage and must be kept in its original box.

Golf equipment

One set of golf equipment/person (one golf bag, clubs, and one pair of golf shoes) may be checked in for a surcharge of 200 SEK, 30 EUR/flight for domestic flights. International 300 SEK, 35 EUR. If you only check in one set of golf equipment the allowed maximum weight is 15 kg. Due to limited space, golf equipment is always on standby and is only accepted if space is available. Ski equipment

One pair of skis, plus ski poles and boots may be checked in for a surcharge of 200 SEK, 30 EUR/flight for domestic flights. International 300 SEK, 35 EUR. Skyways accept all kind of skis except long jump skis. We do not accept ski equipment on flights operated by Jetstream.

Pushchairs

If you are travelling with a baby or small child one you may bring one pushchair with you and check it in at no extra cost.

Wheelchairs

One collapsible wheelchair, upon which the passenger is dependant, may be checked in at no extra cost. Assistance to and from aircraft is available. Please note that we cannot handle wheelchairs where the weight exceeds 50 kg. If you do need assistance please contact Skyways Reservations on +46 771 95 95 00.

Luggage Service

Damaged baggage must be shown at the arrival station and reported no later than seven (7) days after the trip.

If your baggage is lost, you must submit your claim within 21 days after your arrival.

Please note that the responsibility for any fragile or valuable goods lies with the traveller. Examples of perishable goods are: money, keys, food, medicine printed prescription, eyeglasses / sunglasses, bottles, cameras, jewellery, computers, mobile phones, music instruments, passports, other personal identification documents or any other valuables.

Skyways shall neither accept liability for unsuitably packed, perishable, damaged or fragile baggage, nor for damage to the exterior of the suitcase (e.g. scratches, stains, dents) resulting from normal wear and tear or for water damage to non-waterproof baggage.
