On a clear day you can get a birds’ eye view of the city of Jönköping while you are flying over it, but should you prefer to take a proper look at the view you should travel to the top of Taberg, which rises 343 meters above sea level. Not only can you see the city of Jönköping on a clear day but also almost all of the Småland region.

Not many people associate Jönköping with the Archipelago. But in the port of Jönköping you will find the passenger steamer M / S New Archipelago. She was built back in 1915, but she can still take you on a tour. For example, you can take a turn to Visingsö, which is Lake Vättern’s largest island. Here you will find everything you possibly could wish for in terms of historical monuments, beautiful scenery and beautiful beaches.

Back in Jönköping port, you can visit one of the many restaurants and enjoy a piece of fresh fish while taking in the vibrant nightlife. The city is close to many popular attractions. The kids will probably be voting for Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby.
