Fly to Røros, Norway with Skyways

The city is located right on the Norwegian border next to Swedish Härjedalen and it is both a living cultural heritage centre and a modern town at the same time.
Røros is on UNESCO's World Heritage List and there is a well-preserved 300-year-old mining town that is actually one of Europe's oldest wooden towns. The city was founded in the mid-1600s after the discovery of copper ore in the mountains and Rauhammerem Storvola.
The city has a charming centre with different stores, artisan workshops and restaurants. In February, the city opens its doors to the largest winter market with great crowds, commerce, culture and traditions.
Røros municipality is the largest South Sámi municipality. Reindeer herding is an essential part of the Sámi culture. The landscape is hilly with great mountain expanses. The whole of Røros is 600 m above sea level and has a cold temperature record of -50.4 °C measured in 1914 making it one of the coldest places in Norway.
